The candidate must travel to Mexico City for a federal criminal record letter 5.) Mexico City is the only place to obtain the federal criminal history letter 6.) Depending on the state, the criminal record letter requested by the candidate takes between 1 and 5 business days A private investigator is required for a comprehensive background check.
